Part of the fun of these can be making an enclosure for one yourself if you don't fancy a Portside or Jarhead version. This is mine.

Received my Portside Mini yesterday...I have to say it exceedes my expectation in every way. Build quality is awesome and induction heating is a game changer!! Super fast heat up, even ABV, etc. I’ll likely rarely use a torch moving forward. If you are on the fence, like @Rockytdogg  , you should definitely go for it

Trying to collect some $ for a vape.

Read the first post...explained there. There is a wait on the new portside mini. But any of them are worth it regardless. I have a jarhead and skeletor. I would never use my vapcaps without them now.

I made a simple "inside out" IH based on @pipes published specs, for about $35 parts bought off Amazon, put together in about an hour.

AC only, kept the potential hazardous components on the outside for maximum ventilation. Quarter for scale.

Works like a dream for the Dynavap!

I wouldn't feel safe with these components warming up inside a closed container, let alone with lithium ion batteries!

How far are you guys sticking your cap into the inductor? How long after the dbl click do you leave it in? Do you cry when you see your trichomes go into the air when the insides of the vapcap get hot? Its very hard to time it right with a 12v6a
  • Magicman

Don't worry about you trichomes. Wait for click and suck it.
  • Mayro

It is not hot enough to go through a bong at the click on an inductor. The top of the cap heats up to fast as it is in the eddies. Ive even switched to putting the cap in and then powering the inductor to remove the heat up time from insertion. Blazer just seems to get the job done lol. Ive been using my inductor to clean the tit screen.

Yeah, using the torch low on the cap is best. Induction heater is like getting expensive covers on your gutters, upgraded paint on your new car, or buying "ageless male MAX' t-bost supplement.
  • Mayro

This exactly. Even when the inductor does work, the heat thats going through is so damn dry that I can feel the damage being done to my throat. (still not combusting the weed - Its just that the TI is getting so @#$@ing hot in there even below the screen)

With the blazer on low, I can target the bottom of the steel cap and heat it to @#$@ and let it go 2-3 sec past the click and NOT COMBUST and suck clouds as deep and dark as a bong rip through my little bubbler for 2 to 3 heat cycles (with the last one getting a quick stir or poke) and then I stupidly do a 4th and 5th as im breaking out the 60x scope to see if the stuff is vaped or not... lol

Im sure if I emailed george, he may agree that the design of the vapcap is to heat the air on the outside of the TI between the vap and the TI. By using the inductor we heat the TI at a different rate than the steel.

In other words, most of the people I see that love the inductors are NOT using TI tips.

Until I can build a new coil to focus the eddies to the center of the cap only/bottom of the cap area, ill use the blazer lol.
