I was going to order what I posted before today but I'm having so many second thoughts ... :chin:
Maybe I could even end purchasing a proper power supply even if I have to spend a bit more.
But as I want to be completely sure I think I will wait until black friday so I can save some € .

If you are patient enough to wait for that and nobody else does, I have no prob with sharing my experience and a how-to tuto.
EDIT: But even so, if I end ordering stuff from China it could take way longer I'm afraid :fear: .

Who wants to be a hero and write/record a short tutorial on how to get a WallG going properly? :pray:Will90

I will be posting this ASAP!

Currently testing power supplies to see what works best :ok:

I bought this adapter and got it yesterday:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QVXYBDC/

Wired it up and it works :ok:

However, @Hippie is on point, it's hard to dial in the voltage in small increments with this one since it's variable 3V-24V.

The 1.5A output seems to work fine, the adapter just gets a little warm maybe cus the outputs a little low?

I'm getting good results setting this adapter to ~4.1V, but it's a little bit of a pain to get it on that number, and you gotta mess with the dial every time you turn it on.

Not a huge deal. still a good option for $22 I think, but I'm gonna try a couple more adapters also to try and get finer voltage adjustment. Probably gonna need a 3V-12V supply for that.

Also gonna pick up some alligator clips so I can test these adapters with the SledG too.

Pics of process below, I will go more into detail very soon:

Ordered this adapter last night and getting tomorrow to test out:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TPL1WHJ/

This one doesn't have the digital voltage readout which is a bummer, but it's 3V-12V and 3A, and it's even cheaper.

Well that's weird because, in theory, that would only make 6.15watts, which makes me think something is really wrong with that power supply precision.
That's why I asked you if you had a multimeter  .

That also makes me think it's not a good idea to purchase an extra cheapo power supply and a way better option would be the "fat-ass" power supplies even if those are more expensive. Because at the end going from ~20 to ~50 € is not that bad I supose  .

    ~12Watts seems more correct.

lol. Thats the big one. I have the 1.5 amp one bud mentioned too. Which as I've said isnt as good. But that big one was like 70 bux. It has enough juice to power 3 G's if you're feeling spicy.

Amazing what you can do with a G43 - I am trying to figure out how it can order Munchies for when I am toasted.

Anyone know the resistance of the G's coil?

Bud mentioned it on the stream last week. The G43 is around 0.8 and the Sled-G is about 1.0.

    I found these.

Think they would possibly be a diy G43 option?

I bet you could make something to work. But a lot depends on the inner diameter as well as the space between pinches. So it might be a slightly different fit.

@BestBuds, that looks promising. Too bad they are out of the 18mm.

Heya @BUD spoke to deliadetritus from Vapefiend (UK store) today. I beleve they have messaged you about stocking DIY Kits for the G-43 , They a good store to work with.

Hope you can make this happen. Stay up

Hey @Bud, I have a question for you. I've seen 18mm male to male adapters that are a little longer than typical and have a third hose fitting that comes out of the middle, like your handle. I figure you could put a G heater in there and run the wires out the hose fitting. Put a little silicon plug in there and it is good to go, nice handle and wires that come at 90 degrees.

The beads would need to be restrained using only screens or possibly the round glass retainer disks could be wired to each other through the beads.

Is this something you considered? Are there complications that make it impractical?

I've made a few builds similar to that with the male female adapters so you can use them either way up, which I power with the wallG psu and step downs, that deliver big cloudz.
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/14-23-19-26-24-29-29-32-Joint-Female-to-Male-Lab-Glass-Transfer-Gas-Adapter/282414948039?
I've bought a few of those and recommend buying at least one extra as the inner diameter of the side arm varies a lot so it can be a struggle getting the wires through.

Nope....that 14 is tiny...lol But even the 18mm one is way too short...double that length and your talking good size....then figure out if they can make the 3 pinches distanced close between each one.

That is the prob with some of the slides...if they do not make the pinches evenly lined up in the cylinder....(pie sections)..the heater and wires will not pull through into the slide.
