Best I know, yes....they have some OG GH's with the new heater unit in them.

Quite frankly, the 45W heater was a killer and I'm not at all sure that we need a 65W heater or a 65W heater that was binned for good performance (i.e. 75W heater).

The IO is to be out in Apr, but keep in mind that Hopper Labs has NEVER done anything on time or nailed it the first time around. Not trying to be negative, but there is a long history with them and although they have made some bold statements about how they are turning things around, the proof of that is yet to be seen. They need to show on time delivery, improved CS, and dramatically improved reliability and testability and only time will tell.

that's a real bummer because I was getting ready to looking into buying one this week "Finally"
I appreciate your guys info on this. Sure have been alot more help than the costumer service,
I think since there coming out with a new model I'll probably just slow the horses down,

I'd like to see how things settle once the new models come into effect, crazy how things work out some times, I've been waiting a yr to order one of these guys and now that I'm ready, there not?:: :groan: Oh well, looks like I'll just pick up some other vapes and wait till later this yr to order.

If you get a good working OG GH, its a killer.

I'm with you...I plan to buy an IO, just not the first wave. I want to see how this thing works out first.

    Cheers

i sometimes think i should get one of the ss ones available on their site ... but part of me thinks i should wait and see if the io gets good reviews ... it seems the newest og grasshoppers have been pretty solid?

I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on an OG, especially since there available now,
I've heard nothing but good things about the older model so the pull is definitely there,
I definitely have some vape decisions to make in these next couple of days, decisions, decisions: :brow:

@spider apparently it’s now possible to pre-order the Hopper IO at http://thehopper.io/

Shipping is slated for April and the order will be:

    1. Reservations
    2. Pre-orders
    3. General orders, after shipping of pre-orders, is complete

    nice,
I've been talking with the support guys the last couple of days and they broke it down as well.
    Appreciate the link.

Im gonna be kinda inpatient and just order the 45watt titanium here in a couple of days when I get my tax return. It took me a couple of days to think on it, but I heard nothing but good things about the OG, so I'm just going to settle for that one for now, and possibly buy the new one in the future if it blows me away. Thanks again.

@spider if it were me I’d definitely wait and get the io. The OG is a fantastic vape when it works properly but there are many cases of them not working at all. I was looking at the spec of the io earlier and was very impressed with all the detailed changes they’ve made. I think they may have finally got it right. Oh, and I’d really like to try the new 70W heater :gasp:

It’s not as if you haven’t got anything else to vape whilst you wait, is it? :chin:

I heard that the OG grasshoppers with the new heater are working well so I'm not worried about it.

I rather not sit around and wait, rather than get one now, and then buy the new one later,
if I like it I'll just end up selling it to get the new one, or just buy the new one.

They say that they will ship in April but I'm not going to sit around with my fingers crossed when I can buy one right now. I heard many people say that there has been hardly any issues with the new OG's and that they actually work very nice. I've heard that the 45 watts is plenty enough power and I think 45 watts will do for now.

Just orderd the og titanium grasshopper last Wednesday and the ship date gave an estimated date of 4 to 8 days? Just wondering from other peoples experience in the past if anyone could tell me there experience on how long they had to wait for there's?
I'm just hoping it's not going to be a couple of weeks or something.

I agree with everything you said. The only thing that would make me dream of this vape is reliability, no burnt lips and the PFE should be included. Other companies pull the same shtick. If they have invented a better way it belongs in the box with the unit. Companies that do that don't get my very hard-earned money.

Very exited, just got my OG titanium grasshopper in the mail today, unfortunately I have to head out to work in a couple of hours so I can't really sink my teeth into it just yet. Just a quick question, I'm trying to register it and it says that the ID code is behind the box? I definitely don't see any ID code anywhere on the box? If anyone out there can help me track it down I would appreciate it. other than that I'm really looking foward to getting off work tonight and packing it up w/ some green stuff :joke:

So I was able to test out the hopper last night and I have to say I was not disappointed at the least bit. I used it Natively and also through my grav Jhook and both ways were nice, not to harsh on the throat but I did notice at temperatures above 4.2 could get a little hot.

Overall the taste was up to par and the vapor production was satisfying. The next step is to buy a loading funnel and a stand from Delta3DStudios because my one gripe is it's a bitch to load, I dont want to resonate the threads with debris so I want to get a loading funnel as soon as possible.

My final thoughts are that so far so good. I'll be busting out the bongs and water pieces tonight to see how it hold up.

I’m a huge fan of Delta 3D Studios and I do have one of their loading funnels as well as one of their triangular stands, which are both great. However, I would recommend that any hopper owner invests in a Hopper Feeder, which is one of my absolute favourite accessories :100:

    rt9c15y4psndgryl.jpeg

Here’s a video showing how it works...

    https://youtu.be/qeDWp5-xxa0

And here is where you can buy one...

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Grasshopper-Feeder-3D-Printed/124065744867?hash=item1ce2e507e3:g:D1EAAOSwnMdeMq9m

There really is no simpler way to load a hopper with the correct amount of herb and the right amount of ‘pack’. It’s also incredibly discreet. So much so that you could easily use it in front of someone and they wouldn’t have a clue what was going on.

The only downside to the Hopper Feeder is that you need to give it a good clean every two full loads. To be clear, each load will fill your hopper multiple times. I’ve never kept count but I’d reckon you get 10-15 refills per load. To clean it I use an ISO wipe, which takes a couple of minutes.

Another item I’d suggest you get is a Coil Master Vape Brush, which is perfect for cleaning out the chamber and also a Performance Front End (PFE), if you have one. The collar around the wire brush allows you to slide it in the chamber without catching the bristles, so that you can then rotate the brush. It completely eliminates any need to ISO the chamber.

If you want to use your hopper whilst you’re out and about, the final thing you may want is a Delta 3D Studios Leather Grasshopper Case, although finding one won’t be at all easy :monkey:

    2laugqo3nxupu1jo.jpeg

When I asked when they might be back in stock I received this reply from Mike...

These leather cases were made by an Amish friend in his barn using traditional leathercrafting techniques (hundreds of years old, no electricity used). Unfortunately I have relocated my business across the country which has made communication extremely difficult (the man has no telephone and the only method of payment is via cash money. His farm is also several hours from my family home. The logistics of restocking cases has made things nearly impossible at this time to continue restocking.

I managed to find a used one recently and it is an absolute joy to own. The leather is extremely thick whilst also being beautifully soft to touch. They are very much in demand though so if you do find one, it’s likely to cost the same as it did when it was new. Good luck in your search!

I actually picked up a coil master brush a couple of months ago, so I'll be givin that a try in the chamber. I have been using my mflb brush but I will switch to the coil master and give that a try.
I also orderd the spiral stand from Delta3DStudios and the small funnel so hopefully that should help out w/ loading. I checked out the feeder and may look into that more later but looks just a little high maintenance compared to the funnel.

I actually notice that I get a better seal as well with the Silicon mouthpiece surprising enough.
I thought that I'd be using the PFE more but I actually use the silicon more, also on my Jhook as well.

Magicman is here to contribute. During the kitchen remodel, all my cleaning gear was packed away. VapCap and Dope Gun(TM) were my only options. I swabbed warm hopper chamber with q-tip. I washed PFE in hot water, soap, then q-tip action. Hot water also worked good with the VapCap cleaning.
