So I was out of flower for a few days or I would have gotten back here sooner, I've had flower a week or so and then ran some loads for you. The top of the vape gets warm but the wood does a good job of insulating it, I didn't notice the hits being warmer doing back to back hits on a second load.

Believe the hype!! I spent the evening with my "new to me" XL length Simrell Vortex Ti stem and I could not be more impressed. This stem is NOT just a simple titanium tube!!

While very simple in its look, in person it is extremely elegant. The gentle curves that taper slightly towards the tip, and are more pronounced at the MP end, give the Vortex a sleek modern look. It feels very nice in the hand. Weighing in at 5+ grams more than the Omni, the weight is immediately noticeable and, IMO, welcomed.

Construction, and design are top notch. The condenser is integrated into the stem and seamlessly transitions into the MP inside the stem. The tear drop airport is ingenious in its simplicity. Rock one way and you open the big end, rock the other and you open the small end. One of the design features I like the most is the way the entire stem tapers down to the smooth MP. The size and smooth shape of the MP make it, IMO, the most natural and comfortable MP of any stem I own.

But the real question on everyone's mind is, "hows the vapor"? In one word, Excellent. I'm not going to say its the coolest stem I have ever used and I'm not going to say that it is not. I will say it has exceeded my expectations in every way, and given all that has been said about the Vortex, that's saying a lot.

I have a very simple explanation for the great cool vapor. Metal, lots of metal. Lets forget about what the Vortex inter-cooler does to the airflow for a minute. If you just look at the design of the Vortex system, there is one thing that immediately struck me, "the vapor comes into contact with SO MUCH metal". Between the condenser tube that is .5mm larger than a standard condenser, and the inter-cooler whos shape seems to maximize surface area, there is just so much surface are to act as a heat sink. It is also unique in that it is the only stem that has something going down the center of the condenser, allowing the vapor to loose heat at the outside and on the inside of the vapor flow. IMO this is the magic of the Vortex Inter-cooler. The way the vapor corkscrews around it facilitates that heat loss.

As I mentioned before, the Vortex stem exceeded my expectations. When I compare it to the Omni, at the same price, I would choose the Vortex without hesitation. Given its stellar performance and indestructibility, I could easily see it becoming my go to stem.

Can you elaborate on this a bit?

@BouncingOffClouds in terms of vapor temperature. I have found that the after market stems with condensers longer than the standard XL are cooler. But is it cooler than a Phattpiggie? Or Artisansdaughter? That is a very subjective question. The answer is that all the top aftermarket stems provide an enhanced experience over the standard Dynavap, IMO. But, for me, I buy these stems more to support the artist and because I enjoy their beauty and uniquiness. Any performance upgrade is just a bonus.

I have one arriving to my office at some point today, but I am out in the field so I won't get to try it out before tomorrow evening. Among all the other benefits mentioned, I am looking forward to being able to easily locate the shotgun. With all that is going on with my Omni XL body texture-wise, it can be difficult to find the port after removal from the Flux Deluxe.

    Mighty fine! I can't believe a week has already drifted by . . .

It feels really good in the hand, perfectly balanced and allowing for an unexpectedly large quantity vapor to be consumed effortlessly.

    Glad I bought it!
