    I am done with these guys. :rage: I have tried to talk to them about a custom unit and they dont respond. Well, they responded once telling me there is no such thing as a waiting list with them. This first come first serve is garbage. So far -trying- to order from them is like dealing with RBT Ryan. There will be more vapes with a glass Incorporated heater, I'll buy those. :shade:
    Nothing drives me up a wall more than lack of communication. :down:

    There is NO waiting list. It doesn't exist. The posts made letting everyone know when it will drop, IS the list. I wanted one but this BS customer service is not acceptable to me anymore. I've felt with this enough with RBT, It's not worth it to me anymore.

    @BestBuds I understand your frustration but to compare Lamart with RBT is more than a little unfair in my opinion.

    If Ralph doesn’t want to operate a waiting list then that is his prerogative, as it is yours not to purchase from him. However, it was possible to order a Tetra P80 custom over three hours after yesterday’s ‘drop’, which was more than enough time for anyone.

    Also, people who have vital hospital visits on the reg usually are limited to when they can go online to buy a vape.

    And that's my point too. I am choosing to not do business with them because of how they failed, and hard, at communicating with me. As in they have ghosted me the past 2 weeks, not responding to a simple query.

    I really wanted to get this vape. I am sure it's as good as I think it is but I just don't want to give my money to someone who won't respond to a customers question. If I'm not that important than you don't get my money.

    It's all good tho. I'm not mad at them. :victory: I just want people to know it's not all buttercups and chocolate right now. I hope they can grow appropriately so they can have better cs. Then they will earn back my trust and in turn my money and I'll buy a vape from them. :up:

    One of the problems running a small business is that you have to do everything yourself and dealing with customers can easily take up all of your time if you allow it to. Put yourself in the position of a small vape manufacturer. You’ve just invented the latest must have vape and demand greatly exceeds supply. Do you...

    a) Concentrate on production and open the order book every few weeks to sell what you have the capacity to manufacture and then deal with queries from confirmed buyers.

    OR

    b) Spend a reduced amount of time on production so that you can maintain a waiting list and deal with potential clients enquiries whilst they wait in line, only to find out that 50% of them drop out once they reach the top.

    My dealings with Lamart commenced when I asked to be added to the mailing list for the next P80 drop in the 19th December. I’ll admit, at that time I didn’t fully understand the process (the website could be clearer). My email was replied to by Paddy and we sent 14 emails back and forth over the next month or so. During our exchanges I questioned the ordering process and received this (as part of the) reply...

    ’Yes, it is first come first serve. Sorry if the system isn't to your liking, to be honest, we're not proud of it either! We don't want people to have to climb over each other to buy one, but we don't like running preorders (they have their own pitfalls which many vape producers have fallen into!), and we don't have enough rolling stock to offer them all the time (demand is greater than production).’

    Once I had placed my order on the 17th January, my emails were responded to by Ralph. Since that time we’ve had a further 27 emails go back and forth as I’ve refined and amended my ideal specification. I’m pleased to say that we’re now very nearly there!

    My exchanges with both Paddy and Ralph have been extremely pleasant, despite my almost certainly taking up a disproportionate amount of their time. That’s not to say that they’ve responded immediately every time but hey, they’ve got a business to run and I’m extremely grateful that they are willing to accommodate my rather particular nature.

    It was clear from last nights drop that demand has already slowed somewhat, so it’s already a lot easier to secure one. That being the case, I’d get yourself on the mailing list and try to snag one next time round. I’m sure that once you've secured one you’ll find them to be more than adequately responsive.

    You know my payment wouldn't process when I ordered on the 1st drop and they were going so fast did I just picked bank transfer after 2 failed attempts and that will hold it for you then you contact Ralph or Paddy and let them know you would like to pay by card instead. You do that and it will hold it for you and then just contact them. Worked for me

    Now this is just me....but FUCK "DROPS". Sounds like we may view this similarly

    For me, its either GA and order-able or I can place an order to be fulfilled when available (wait list if you will) and I def favor the first and only do the second if its something I only do rarely and it has to be something I am really hot for (right now, the only wait list I'm on is for Flux IH).

    I will not sit around check IG and emails for a "drop".

    And yes, I’m a grouchy old curmudgeon lol

    This morning I woke to a message from Ralph. Apparently he was made aware of my post here. So he reached out. Every time I have received a response from them they have been exceedingly nice and kind. I must say that. I believe the lack of communication was a misunderstanding. I told them I was "ok with waiting". The way I meant it was I am fine if 2 or 3 batches go by without me on it. But the way they must have taken it was that I was ok with waiting for a response or customer service. It's all good. Misunderstandings happen.

    This is just my personality too y'all. I don't wait in lines for food either. I'll wait till everyone else is done. I hate feeling like I have to fight to pay for a product.
    When I bought my TM I went to the site, I paid, 3 weeks later it was at my door. I don't care if I pay and it takes a while, I will not struggle with others for the opportunity to buy an object from someone.
    But like I said they might have been willing to work something out.

    Hang in there best buds. Be patient or just forget about it.
    Ralph is a great guy who dose well but takes a long time to reply to mails but he dose always reply. Eventually. He obviously can't keep with with current demand due to the vape being so good. The TetraX is genrally available and just as good. It wasn't always like this and I'm not sure how long the hype will last. Stay up bro. And just wait. It will come if you still want it when it's ready

    I had to go back and check my PM's on FC because I thought I might have sent something to funky junky about your situation. It turns out it never sent, but someone else must have let him know you were going unanswered. Just looking out for a fellow vaporents :smile:.

    I agree that drops kinda suck. This was my first go at a Lamart drop and I had everything taken care in a few minutes but I've had others that do nothing but frustrate me. I'd prefer a list so at least when your number comes up you're ready to start the process.

    A long wait list or few units dropped a month or lucky numbers out of a hat is all just another problem in the way for everyone. None are really great for anyone in either position.
    Like you dont kick em when they down.
    Picking a solution like this is just a matter of opinion. I can except that you want a list.

    I'm pretty sure that this also doesn't apply to anything I said. And frankly, the size of the company or how noble their valiant owner is doesn't exclude them from legitimate criticism or...in this case, personal choice to not participate in a sales structure I object to.

    Clearly this is not a sales structure that YOU object to which is perfectly fine.

    But I will not own one as long as they are being sold in this manner.

    The G43 isn't exactly the model for how to best handle a waiting list and customer communication. There were some long communication blackouts after all. Would that have been tolerated so patiently if it was anyone else? I totally understand why that happened, just trying to be fair and consistent.

    It's interesting that this is all a problem now after Ralph has been handling things this way for years.

    I can appreciate that some people would prefer not to have it this way but ultimately it's Ralph's business and he should be able to run it as he sees fit. There are others with a similar model including Firewood and nobody seems to have their panties in a bunch over that.

    In the end if you email Ralph and wait patiently for him to respond I am 100% confident he will get you what you need. I have purchased multiple units this way. Just try it. And go ahead and express your opinion about the process but don't expect him to change for you. You gotta remember this is a one man show. And for anyone who thinks he "just needs to get some help" well it's not all that simple in some cases. Finding reliable help to support what he needs might prove difficult and who knows if he can afford it. I'll tell you who knows, Ralph does!

    I'm glad you are laughing about it, not even a tiny criticism was intended. Being a small entrepreneur of any kind is difficult, being a small manufacturer is brutally hard. It used to drive me crazy as a software lead trying to give time estimates to my management. OK, you want me to do a thing I've never done before, maybe no one has done, with a team that isn't assembled yet, using technologies we haven't investigated. Yeah sure I can promise to deliver that in 6 months, it's as good a made up number as any other...
