Vape Critic, my Davinci IQ is on its way, yeah. My next question is could you recommend a back up battery name and number so I can get a couple. Audio, being be to this at there different strengths, longer lasting? And if so does it hurt the unit? Thanx.

    Sweet!

These are the batteries I use myself: http://amzn.to/2ghPiTI

I asked DaVinci if it mattered what type you use, because there are a ton of different 18650's on the market, and they basically said it doesn't really matter too much, you won't notice much of a difference between batteries but they do need to be 10A minimum I believe they said, which almost all of them are. I think they also mentioned that higher amp batts would affect the heat up time by speeding it up a little bit.

I've personally used 4 different brands of 18650 batteries in mine, and they all worked normally as far as I could tell.

I think it is suggested to get a battery more than 10 amps. The davinci uses 8 amps. I dont know anything about batteries but theres a bunch of people that do and i think theres a post on fc about some suggested batteries.

Samsung, Sony, and ...one other company are the main manufacturers of Li Ion batteries AFAIK. Other brands are rebranded/rewrapped versions and, depending on how they are screened and binned, may not be as good as the main brand names.

I would stick with a Samsung or Sony and, as mentioned, DaVinici said that they draw 8 amps on the IQ, so you need a battery rated with a discharge greater than 8a.

And having an illness and he'll just growing up in the sixties and early seventies. It's nice to have someone who can point you in the right direction. These items aren't cheap and you give a great thorough evaluation of each product. Your the best salesman the better carriers have. Lol Thanx.

NOTE: Be careful buying S&B vapes from any sites giving discounts on them, you'll notice the big stores like VapeWorld and VaporNation don't discount those because they're not allowed to, S&B will ask for your receipt if you need warranty service and they'll wanna see what price you paid, if you do buy for less I recommend emailing S&B directly to ask if the store is authorized to sell below MSRP and if your warranty will be valid

I'm gonna film and post a casual review video today to talk about some of the vapes on this list, I don't have time to post my full reviews for these before the sales end and I don't want to rush them, but I'll try and show you what you really need to know to decide if you wanna buy any of these on sale.

It's gonna take me a few hours at least to post this but I'll get it posted today, CFV will be first (Y)

Thanks for posting! As a beginner looking to try a wax pen, curious if you've found the Orb 4 to be better than your current top pick of the Hypnos Zero, or if you'd stick with the Zero?

@Cl4ud3 i just chatted with a representative from PIU. asked about duties. they said that duties and taxes are included in the price. i should only be charged shipping.... someone somewhere posted recently that their package from PIU to canada was held by the post office till a duty of $60 was paid, for a 130$ device....

at $165 USD i'd pull the trigger n risk on the CFV.... If i hear positive reviews from Bud

As long as you ship through the U.S. Postal Service you should not get dinged with duty charges. I'm in toronto and I've only been charged duty for anything when I've shipped through a courier like FedEx or UPS.

@BrokedanceThanks. i got my web browser on the PUI website. CFV in the cart. i chose usps first-class international mail... that was $15.50. that brings total price to 180.49 USD. By my calculation thats approximately $243.50 CAD possibly better depending on the exchange rate at the moment.

the only canadian retailer i've found selling the CFV was https://theherbcafe.ca/collections/boundless
    at $299CAD.. + tax = $345CAD (i'm assuming 15% tax) No Black Friday sale.

this sale is a great deal. i feel like i can't pass it up.
told myself no more portables that don't have replaceable batteries, but hopefully with a mighty upgrade soon to come, i still want a smaller discrete option. plus my urge to taste convection.

i'm here excited. should i buy or pass. should i pass, or buy? refreshing this page like every 20 mins to see if a videos been posted!

I'm torn, PUFFITUP has the CFV for $165.99 (25% off) and the Flowermate Swift Pro for $142.99 (35% off).
If they have the same internals, what's the argument for going with the CFV?
  • Cl4ud3

Slightly different look, mouthpiece and the usb charger is underneath and not on the side like the CFV. I've been told the CFV is better by people who have both. edit :- also the screen is easier to read on the CFV
