Great story, and thanks! I may need to get one after all then!
Of course, I have two, one totally sealed and unopened, so why not a third ?

Actually, I want to get a FF1 too, just to have it :)

It does not seem like there are any retailers besides Firefly directly for purchase now.....I think vapor.com has them.

    Anyone see other online sellers?

    I agree 100%.

There are extreme exaggerations from whom the background of the upper management as well as some performance enhanced advertising.

I don't respect that. I think its morality in business issue. A negative business Practice to the consumer.

With that said, I have taken to blogging to learn from others experiences.

I am using this format as usual to give my feedback and read feedback as a tool toward buying quality dry herb vape purchases.

The Firefly company makes a compelling case with their claims and advertising. However, from my experience (I tried the FF2 many times and 2 replacement units) this vape doesn't do an efficient job at vaporising my dry herb materials. I gave it my all and it works but the price is also misleading since you can get vapes that are awesome for a fraction of the price (The G43 $100, The Dynavap vapes ($60 - $180) and the Pax 3 at $200. If you spend your $320 on the FF2 you could have a MUCH better vape for 80% less cost.

In total I believe the Firefly vapes are not to impress the experienced dry herb enthusiast its to get customers new to vaping and the appearance from advertising and the "Boxing" is like a lure on my fishing hook. It works but for those of us who have high quality equipment we see it for what it is and thats an amateur device, with many flaws the equipment the experienced dry herb vapor user uses is far superior at a fraction of the price.

mmx would you explain or make a video of the technique you use with the Lotus?
How long have you used it? I can't get a rhythm with its use to make it one which I can replicate every time.

What matters is I like it -- a lot -- but then I'm probably just an "amateur" who lacks an understanding of "high quality equipment." :nerd:

i happen to like it too! I can understand a dislike for the company itself and the people who run it. However the the people and attitude have nothing to do with the actual product and i personally have never experienced such things, also fashionably late to the party to be fair :joke:
There are other people who dislike the company in general and while i respect their opinion and thoughts they are at least up front about it. You never hear them saying how shitty the 2+ is without trying it.... This thread aint no election no need for mud slanging around here.

True. And they don't have to like the company. I don't know if I like the company. I've had zero interaction with them. I do like their product though, and it has been a great trouble-free vaping appliance for over a year. Why would I dislike the product because some others dislike the company? If Joseph Stalin designed it, I would still use it. It works for me.

I don't like left-wing democrats, right-wing republicans, progressives, communists, socialists, or educated-idiot social justice warriors either; but I still go to Portland on business now and then, and am unconcerned if the wheat the baker uses to make my bread comes from a republican or a democrat farmer.

Likewise, I don't care if I personally like the makers of the FireFly2, it is only necessary I like their creation.

EconMan! I just got the FF2+ (quick free shipping). You were right, it's great. I just now had zero problem getting hits. I set the temp on 340 on my phone. used little scissors to cut up some flower to a rough grind. Put in bowl level to deck and patted it down with my finger. Pulled a few cigar puffs, then drew in for 8 seconds or so (because I figured that's what you're supposed to do and if it wasn't harsh, that wouldn't be a problem). It wasn't. No coughing or anything and I got vapor . I tried a couple mouth to lung shorter hits and they gave me vapor too. I don't think it could be any better. Thanks!

That's good to know. My FF2 has been 100% trouble free. I've suffered no issues at all. Even my lid gasket looks like new. In all honesty, as much as I've used it, including the "hot" concentrates use, I am nearly amazed it still works.

I had low expectations though. I had of course read the credible negatives on it before buying it, but given that even its worst critics seemed reluctantly to admit to its being good for taste-chasers, I bought it anyway. Really glad I did.

In terms of average cost per hit, it has been my least expensive vape.

i took the dive too knowing what i was getting into and i didnt because it works great.
My issue was i bought the ff2 for the same price as a 2+ days or maybe a little bit more before the annoucment, i didnt like that!
I have to find the time to call them but they agreed to upgrade my oven at their cost. Pretty stand up in my opinion!

Congrats! I remember that feeling! :100:

Something I've always loved about it, is from a stone-cold state, I can be toking on it within a few seconds of turning it on. And if you ever get a true PRIMO strain of flower in, it is just the best thing to get that fullness of taste. :nerd:

And yeah, when it comes to a tasty bowl that gets you nice and high, it's hard to do it any "better", only different.

I knew of the smoke cloud controversy, and also about the excessive "hype" that preceded my entrance into vaping, but I remember vividly it was between the brand new MV1 and the FF2 -- I was going to buy one or the other -- a headshop on ebay had it for $265 but mostly it was this deviant below who I concluded at 26:10 was either the world's greatest liar and actor OR was sincerely taking a hit I wanted to take too. I knew he was hawking the MV1, but I never saw him hawk one like in this vid.

I wanted that "experience" and went and got it. He was not lying and I will always be thankful for this "tipping point". Indeed, had I not seen this and confirmed the FF2 fucking tastes great -- not only do you not lose by leaving combustion you gain something! -- I would not be on this forum.

That's why people pay him for his opinion, it has market power.

FML! hell with FF, this impacts several of my clients (one of them is mentioned). One who literally makes their revenue by directing people to recreational stores and dispensaries.
So thank you. I literally needed to know this.

are you telling me then that you have tried the ff4!? Dude i specifically said 2+ if you havent then im half sorry to say your previous post where you comment on the lack of noticiable difference between the two is bullshit bruh!
You dont like the company im okay with that, if you have evidence to support it
If you make up evidence to support your dislike, i begin to question your motives entirely...
I have concluded that you have never owned one and certaintly not two. Your dislike for this product tells me you could never have stomached the purcahse of a second one because there has never been a time where you enjoyed it....

Bruce was the original forum cheerleader for the Firefly 2, went as far as telling people it was the only convection vape available when it wasn't. I don't know what exactly changed but after about 8 months he decided it wasn't a good vape at all.
I can't comment on if he has tried a 2+ but he certainly had an original 2.
