it gets weird when they are talking about dry herb vaping and concentrates like it’s in the same realm. When I think of humans and our relationship to smoke, we have been heating for warmth and cooking getting second hand or direct smoke for 40,000 years, how much have our bodies adopted to smoke vs taking huge lung shots of vapor from a cartridge? They estimate lactose tolerance took 20,000 to develop.
i though of it as overstimulation of the wonderful anti nausea properties, kinda like insulin resistance in a way, never heard neem mentioned.
My buddy had it flare right before a vacation to Cabo, but he knew he wasn’t going to bring anything on the plane so he overindulged, bad vacation but he dried out while down there and symptoms disappeared by the end.
a few weeks ago had junkie squatter pounding on my door in the middle of the night, I feel you!!!!! Police came took one to hospital one to jail, my wife is like “we re getting cameras” so I had to spend 300$ plus on amazon ring cams.
yes it is awesome, actors are talented and great pacing so far, knowing it’s Stephen king makes me think I know where it’s going but we’ll see. My wife’s a social worker she deals with child rape/assault, suicide, parents ODing etc etc her line is “I don’t need any more nightmare material”, but she’s actual got into it.
yeah, I talked to my brother, he works for nav sea Philly naval yards, works on fuel cells etc for ships, a few years ago he was in Cali desert for a few days under a tent testing batteries to be used by troops. Had people from all branches there monitoring them in brutal heat, a bunch of contractors vying and who ever won got the military contract. So he’s literally been a battery judge lol. He didn’t think open cell 18650s should be out there for the public and he’s much smarter then me.
That said the whole reason I bought my davinci miqro (besides reviews) was it had a battery I could replace myself! Didn’t want to have to send the unit out if it started not holding a charge.
Texted my brother about open cells and cell explosions
“ Problem is that you have two highly reactive substances separated by a micron thick sheet of plastic immersed in a flammable liquid. Any slight damage to that membrane can cause an internal short which becomes a runaway reaction. Everyone takes for granted the high power density of these cells and the long battery life it gives them but unfortunately this is what it takes to get there”
“ Samsung got a little too ambitious trying to make that membrane thinner so they could pack more battery in an smaller case but it led to frequent failures”
“ The problem with most li ion cells is that if you over charge them they can release oxygen inside the cell. Mixed with the flammable fluid in the metal case it becomes like a mini hand grenade. Thats one reason you always want a protection circuit built into the module that cannot be separated from the cells”
ok you think they don’t want these high powered cells used in little ovens units that heat up to 500 degrees? I think they should run with that in the ad if that’s the concern. The contact exposure slant makes me think “why don’t you find a manufacturing solution to that?” I guess it’s a fine line gettin people to respect the potentially volitile energy source and not scaring them away from most tech items nowadays.
yes, apple are using quality components, I know there are knockoff iPhones out. I had bought a kindle 10 inch they released a few months ago ($199 product)and there is a big difference between say iPhone 11 touch/swiping controls and my new kindle, way more glitch at that price point, can’t speak to the battery yet.
It’s weird for LG to go after a specific battery size, like they are worried it will be attributed to them? Maybe people are labeling them LG.
most batteries are made outside of the US, once in a while I see japan on button cells a lot of common D and C etc made in Malaysia etc. But yeah, there is battery quality for the specific reason of price point, China makes varying quality. I watch fucked up videos on the internet and most of the thermal runaway videos I’ve seen are from Asian countries and it’s what I assume are cheap ass cellphones igniting not iPhones.
