  • High quality Butane
Whip-it brand is what my local smoke shop carries. Whip it butane
  • Am I done?
@bulllee the runt is my daily for the past year. I've found nothing that comes close to both power and speed, and those combo bowls you speak of are a real treat!

Have a great weekend homie!
  • Am I done?
@mac47 hello friend! I'm fortunate to live in an area where batteries and butane are both easily obtained. Most smoke shops in the states have butane readily available. I also live in an area where power outages, while not common, are more frequent and at the control of the power company (PG&E).

Youre right though, whichever is easiest and more convenient! Cheers homie.
  • Am I done?
Your missing the boat on it......though it is hard to get one now I understand. There is no other vape like it.....for use.....nothing compares to the super fast power and ability to use as on demand with no loss of herb or herb performance like all the others. (like when you set it down and come back hours later).

Sticky bricks excluded because they are butane powered?

The coil that @BestBuds mentioned from dabbing warehouse is the same one I use with the elev8r. I bought it because I wanted the cheapest entry into a coil with the elev8r, and it has not disappointed once. I can't remember the exact price, but with discount (they seem to always have a 20% discount on their site) I think it was like $70 shipped for coil and PID. It's a no brainer.

If I used a coil for other vapes besides the elev8r, I might consider a nicer one, but the dabbing warehouse one has worked fine.

@Bad Dog yes, concentrating the flame at the glass indents. Like @LabPong said, keep the flame away from the intake hole.

I also use a propane torch. Can confirm, smaller flame out of it is plenty. Also, the byproduct of propane combustion is carbon monoxide, so I typically open a window or do it outside. It's not a bunch of gas, but better safe than sorry.

It's a steal at that price, for sure!
  • Joke of the day!
crazy, I just watched this yesterday! George is a fucking genius, and his material is still relevant decades later, unfortunately.
  • 7th Floor Elev8r
@BestBuds maybe because my daily is still my sticky brick runt, the free flow draw of the elev8r is what keeps me coming back. That also might be why I run my coil at 815, cause I draw pretty fast? I'll give it a shot.
  • 7th Floor Elev8r
@BestBuds how full did you fill the heater? I filled it as much as possible with glass beads, and it felt like drawing through a coffee stir straw, compared to the free flow draw without beads.
  • Tips for withdrawal symptoms?
Also in for suggestions. Last night was a pretty bad sweat for me, and I'm a little over 3 weeks. It has gotten better and is more intermittent lately.

Dreams still haven't been that vivid or scary...yet. I'm surprised, I usually have fucked up dreams by now, but about a week ago, I did have some edibles one day. Maybe that helped taper the withdrawals a little, I don't know.

@Hapo my experience with controllers and coils is limited to this $70 dabbing warehouse setup I bought for the elev8r. I wish I had some more information for you.
  • 7th Floor Elev8r
@Hapo with the controller set to 815, from a cold start, it will shoot to about 770ish, then slowly make its way to 815. I let it heat soak for a solid 6 minutes or so, but my coil reaches temp within 4 minutes. It stays consistent at 815 the entire time.

During my draws, Temps might drop to 805ish, then go back up to 818-819, then settle back at 815.

@BestBuds hell yea homie, that's what's up! Glad you're enjoying the setup! I'm following in @LabPong footsteps with the use of a coil, and love it for consistent paranoia.

I filled my heater with G43 beads once, as many as would fit. This was when I used the torch. Overall, I didn't like the experience. With so many beads, the draw became very restrictive. The elev8r has great draw resistance, so adding the beads felt like I was suffocating it. I tried it, won't do it again.

awesome BestBuds, that's what's up! Mine is tighter then when I got it, but I still rock it to 815F to get the dark avb that I get from my SBrunt.

    Enjoy!

@LabPong I was gonna ask, do you use the coil with the Boro heater or the Quartz or both?

@Hapo I actually run mine at 825 for flower...but I need to take some time to adjust mine more. So if LabPong is running his at 600, I've gotta imagine it's how well the heater fits.
  • 7th Floor Elev8r
I use the heater in the coil like you described, and using the clip isn't really an option imo. It would get pretty warm, and would make stirring a pain.
  • 7th Floor Elev8r
@BestBuds that enail looks familiar!

I haven't had any issues with my dabbing warehouse setup on my Elev8r. Its been solid.

@Terpenetime I forgot about the g43 stand, good looking out.
